Abstract

Tape 1, Side A

Nancy Clegg and her husband bought two acres of former cotton fields in 1962 or 1963 to grow pecans. Harvests from the 25 trees were sold by word of mouth. The Cleggs purchased the land for both investment and outdoor recreation, as both had careers.

This narration explains how they developed and worked the land.
